On 1 August 2011, Ernst Kendlbacher assumed the position of Managing Director at SDS. As Managing Director, he is responsible for all marketing, sales, and business development initiatives and promotes the company's international growth.

He brings many years of banking experience and has worked in the banking/IT industry for more than 30 years in various management roles. Before his time at SDS, he was on the managing board for research and development at an off-the-shelf software vendor for banks and financial service providers for 10 years.

Ernst Kendlbacher holds a university degree in economic science and political economics and has completed a management program at one of the most renowned international business schools in St. Gallen. Ernst Kendlbacher likes to travel, hike and read.

Nora Lawender has taken on the role of Director of Finance & Controlling and Human Resources at SDS with effect from 1 September 2025. In her role as Commercial Managing Director, she is responsible for finance, controlling, human resources and the shared services provided by T-Systems Austria used by SDS.

Nora Lawender has been part of the management team at T-Systems Austria since October 2023, where she serves as Vice President Finance and Controlling.

With over 20 years of experience in various senior finance roles, she brings comprehensive know-how and strategic expertise to the table. Before joining T-Systems Austria, she held management positions at NTT Austria and NTB Solutions GmbH, among others.

Since July 15, 2024, Dr. Martin Vasko has assumed the role of Tribe Lead for the Market Operations Next Generation and Infrastructure and Services tribes.

After completing his computer science studies at the Technical University of Vienna, Martin Vasko worked in various roles, ranging from full-stack developer to requirements engineer to department head. He gained experience across different industries, including healthcare, banking, and insurance, and worked in both startups and international corporations.

Most recently, Martin served as a lecturer at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, Wiener Neustadt University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Vienna. His broad expertise and experience in the IT industry make him the ideal candidate for advancing SDS Market Operations and Infrastructure and Services. In his free time, Martin is an avid athlete; sports are an essential part of his balanced work-life routine. He particularly enjoys cycling or going for a run.

As part of the agile organisational change in 2022, Thomas Weissenböck took the lead of the tribes Regulatory Reporting + Add-Ons and Software Testing, putting him in charge of the product SDS IREG. The SDS GEOS additional products SDS MCOST and SDS NOSTRO are also developed under his lead. The Software Testing tribe is responsible for the turnover and development of Testing Services as well as central testing tasks for all development tribes.

Prior to his current position, Thomas Weissenböck was Head of Software Testing starting in October 2019. He began working as a software tester at SDS as early as 20 years ago. Over the years, he filled the positions of test manager, team leader and head of department. His personal interests include travelling, hiking, reading and photography.

Since 2 September 2024, Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Hannes Gruber has been head of Tribe Market Operations at SDS. Hannes has extensive experience in software engineering, where he started his career as a web developer. Over many years, he gained valuable experience in management positions within large corporate structures. In doing so, he played a central role in introducing and establishing agile methods and Scrum teams at various international locations.

Thanks to his many years of experience in managing IT departments, Hannes Gruber brings a strong combination of technical expertise and leadership skills to the table, making him ideally suited for the further development of the Market Operations Tribe.

With his in-depth knowledge and experience, he will tackle future challenges at SDS with drive and innovation.

Martin Reichhart has been responsible for the Account Sales Team at SDS since 1 January 2023. In this role, he is responsible for strategic sales planning, operational sales management and interface management between customers and software development. With his personal commitment to customer service, he ensures that he and his entire team always act in line with market needs and build long-term partnerships.

Martin Reichhart started his career in the financial industry and has now been part of SDS for over 20 years. He successfully brings his experience as a business analyst, consultant and key account manager to his management role today.

In his private life, Martin Reichhart enjoys being active – whether travelling or hiking in nature.
